New Delhi: Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal on Thursday said that universities must form a special cell to fulfill the concerns and issues of students related to delays in examinations due to coronavirus outbreak.
He said this during his interaction with the nation’s 45,000 Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) via a webinar arranged by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.
He also told them how to turn this situation into an opportunity to overcome the limitations. He requested parents, students and teachers to take advantage of the online mode of study as much as possible.
He also talked about the scope of improvement and enhancement of the online space in the country and said that teachers should play a role to enhance the reach, so that students in rural areas can also avail online teaching.
The Union minister shed light on many issues and concerns associated with examinations, online study, fees, anxiety and problems faced by the students, fellowships, entrance examinations etc.
