University In Himachal Pradesh Gets Microsoft Grant To Study COVID-19 Drugs

Shimla: Science experts at a University in Himachal Pradesh have received a grant through Microsoft to do research on finding drugs that will cure and restrict COVID-19. The whole process will directly control the anti-viral drug development.

The entire process will be headed by Associate Professor, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Shoolini University Gurjot Kaur. It will have access to Microsoft Azure credits for six months to perform work using Microsoft licensed resources like online platform and virtual machines. The mission has been funded through High Performance Computing Consortium

The bunch of experts or scientists will perform all the necessary steps and screen phytochemical components for anti-viral activity via COVID-19 specific targets interconnection by using molecular modelling study.

Indian medicinal herbs have similar indistinguishable phytoconstituents (chemical compounds that occur naturally in plants) that they show great assurance as COVID-19 drugs.

Shoolini University in their official statement said, the whole process will directly produce the drug that will help cure deadly COVID-19.
