NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recommended 114 candidates from the Consolidated Reserve List of the Civil Services Examination (CSE), 2024, to fill the remaining vacancies in various Central Services.
The list of recommended candidates is available on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
The recommendation includes 94 from the General category, five from EWS, 13 from OBC, and one candidate each from the SC and ST categories.

These candidates will be appointed to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and various Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) will directly communicate appointment details to the selected candidates.
Appointments to various services were made based on the number of vacancies reported by the Government. A total of 1,129 vacancies were announced for the Civil Services Examination, 2024, distributed across several prestigious services. Of these, 180 posts were earmarked for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 55 for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and 147 for the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Another 605 positions were allocated to various Central Services, Group ‘A’, while 142 posts fell under Group ‘B’ Services. These appointments, made from both the main and reserve lists, ensured representation across services in line with the number of available vacancies.
According to the latest communication, these candidates have been recommended in accordance with the provisions of Rules 20(4) and 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024, following a request from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). The selected candidates will be intimated directly by the DoPT regarding their appointments.
The USPC said that the candidature of 15 individuals is provisional pending verification.
Earlier, on April 22, 2025, the UPSC declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2024, recommending 1,009 candidates for appointment against 1,129 notified vacancies. With this latest recommendation from the reserve list, the remaining posts are expected to be filled soon, marking the completion of the 2024 examination cycle.
