US Embassy Launches Training Programme For Teachers

New Delhi: In association with the English language teaching organisations, the US Embassy has launched a training programme for about 100 teachers currently working for Telangana, Karnataka and West Bengal state governments.

About 100 English language teachers and trainers took part in the launch of the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Core Certificate Program (TCCP) offered by the US Embassy here in partnership with TESOL International February 9, reported news agency PTI.

The US Embassy said via a statement that the teachers undergoing training are employed with the Karnataka, Telangana and West Bengal state governments.

The TESOL Core Certificate Programme is an intensive 140-hour, English language teacher training programme. Participants will learn cutting-edge, research-based teaching strategies, said the statement.
