Lucknow: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath felicitated 17-year-old Akanksha Singh — who has created history by scoring 720 marks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2020 — on Wednesday.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted at the chief minister’s official residence (5 Kalidas Marg). Adityanath said that Akansha, who had secured 100 per cent marks and stood second in the country, has done the state proud. The CM asked her to pursue her dreams and work hard to achieve the goals she has set for herself, according to EdexLive.
Akansha’s father, Rajendra Kumar Rao, a sergeant in the Indian Air Force (IAF), opted for voluntary retirement three years ago to support Akanksha throughout her NEET preparations. Mother Ruchi Singh works as a teacher in a government school in Kushinagar.
