Kolkata: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared on Saturday that the Class X board exams 2021 will commence on June 1 following all COVID-19 protocols.
According to WBBSE officials, the secondary exams will continue till June 10. “We have uploaded the details of the schedule for the 2021 Madhyamik (secondary) exams on our website. The examinations will be held with strict adherence to COVID protocols,” West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
The Class X and XII exams are usually conducted between February and March every year, but the tests have been deferred in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The West Bengal government had declared on Wednesday that the secondary and higher secondary (Class XII) exams would be held one after another in June 2021.
