Kolkata: College students in West Bengal are preparing for yet another session of online classes post the Durga Puja break.
The two school boards’ decision to hold exams offline has ignited hope that a call to reopen the educational institutes in a graded manner may be taken in the coming weeks.
“We were hoping to return to our college but that doesn’t seem possible. There is no other option left but to prepare ourselves for another session of online classes. Since the first semester has started late, we have little time to complete our syllabus. So, the priority now is to finish the syllabus,” first-year commerce student of Seth Anandram Jaipuria College, Rajib Ghosh was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The online classes at St Xavier’s College and St Paul’s will start next week. “First and third semester classes will start on October 25 for the English department. Online classes for others will also resume soon,” a faculty member said.
