New Delhi: More than 28 lakh candidates have registered for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 which will be held on December 8.
The 13 edition of the exam will be held in 2935 centres across 110 major cities, said a statement issued by CBSE.
In all, 28,32,119 candidates (16,46,619 for Paper-I and 11,85,500 for Paper-II) have registered for CTET examination.
According to the statement, 4012 independent observers and 789 board representatives have been engaged for smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
Besides, 118 city coordinators have been appointed to coordinate with the examination centres and to resolve various issues, it added.
CTET is conducted for those who aspire to become eligible for recruitment as teachers from class I to VIII.
