30K Students Take BSF, CISF Recruitment Exam In Ladakh, J&K

Nearly 30,000 students sat for the written examination for recruitment in Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), in the Union Territories of Ladakh, and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Sunday, reported The Times of India.

According to a BSF spokesperson, the written exam, comprising of candidates from 20 districts of J&K, and two districts of Ladakh was conducted smoothly, while carefully observing the COVID-19 protocols issued by the centre and the two UT administrations.

A total of around 34,000 candidates were called for the examination for recruitment of male and female constables (General Duty) in the BSF and CISF, after qualifying the Physical Endurance Test and Physical Standard Test and documentation, he added.

He said, “There was huge enthusiasm among the candidates is not only Jammu but also in Kashmir and Ladakh regions. The percentage of absentees was very low.”

The spokesperson described how the exam was conducted. It happened under the watchful eyes of frontier headquarter BSF Jammu and STC BSF Srinagar, Sighpura-Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara and Tangdhar in Kashmir

In Ladakh, the examination was conducted in Subdivision Nubra Valley, ITBP Camp Leh, BSF Campus Neeru and Police line Kargil. The special recruitment rally was held under the overall responsibility of Frontier Headquarter BSF Kashmir, he said.
