IIT-Madras Invites Applications For BSc Data Science; Check Dates & Eligibility

Chennai: IIT-Madras has invited applications for BSC admission in Programming and Data Science programme.

Students who will complete class 11 by May this year or those currently in class 12 can apply for the May 2022 term qualifier process. If they qualify, they can start the course work after completing their class 12.

The institute will also accept applications from college students, working professionals and even those who are taking a career break for this programme.

Candidates can visit the website — onlinedegree.iitm.ac.in — to apply for the programme.

The last date to apply for the May term of the Data Science programme is April 20.

Interested candidates will have to go through four weeks of training, which will include video lectures, weekly assignments, discussion forum and live interactions with professors and course instructors.

After the training, applicants will have to appear for the qualifier examination offline. Questions will be based on content from the four-week training.

There is no limit on the number of seats. Anyone who gets minimum cut-off marks will be allowed to join the foundation level of BSc in Programming and Data Science.

Students eligible for JEE Advanced exam can join this programme directly in May 2022.

IIT-Madras will offer fee waivers of up to 75% based on annual family income, along with additional scholarships through CSR partners.
