CBSE: Alternative Experiments For Class IX, X Practical Work Announced

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come up with an alternate method of teaching, which includes various practical activities for students of Class IX and X who can perform at home with easily available household materials. This activity has been targeted for the academic year 2021-22.

These additional activities will help students to explore concepts of science and have a better understanding of the same, said an official notification.

The decision was taken after taking into consideration the decline in direct learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can check the official website i.e., cbseacademic.nic.in for more details and information related to the activities.

These hands-on activities are accompanied by step-by-step guides, videos, and worksheets for students to record observations. A list of materials needed for each experiment, together with alternatives, have also been included in the content package to facilitate the learners. The content has been provided by Thin Tac and is also available on the Diksha portal, added the official notification.

Teachers will review the practical activities that will be given to students. CBSE will provide online training on the usage of these activities, details of which will be intimated separately.
