According to sources, the results of various streams of CBSE and ICSE are declared on same day which helps students in much better way to select most preferred career choices. However, almost every year, there is a delay in announcement of results by the CHSE either due to high number of students appearing for the examinations under the board or other issues like protest by teachers.
CHSE chairman Amarendra Patnaik, speaking in this regard, said, “We are trying to declare results of all streams on same day in May. We will convert the mark foils into OMR which will help us upload the documents online in less time and announce the results early”, reports a regional media organisation.
The students who are all set to appear for the annual examinations have welcomed the decision and termed it a praiseworthy step.
Educationists also feel that if the officials of the board show willingness there will not be any difficulty in announcing the results on same day.
