FM University In Odisha’s Balasore Sets Up Technology Business Incubator
Bhubaneswar/Balasore: Union Minister of State for MSME, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Pratap Chandra Sarangi on Saturday assured all possible help to the Technology Business Incubator (ABT) established in Fakir Mohan University, Balasore.
Addressing the faculty and students of the university during a function to mark the establishment of ABT, Sarangi urged the students to work towards development of the country.
“I am happy that FM University is the first among the state-funded university to establish a Technology Business Incubator and his ministry will help in all possible manner to the newly established TBI,” he said.
Stating that MSME can play a major role in boosting the employment potential of the country, he urged the students to rediscover their hidden talent and use this for not only their personal career development but also for development of the society.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo said that establishment of a TBI, which was long over-due, will help the students and youth in building entrepreneurship, incubating new innovations and nurturing big ideas.
“Since Balasore has a strong industrial background and locational advantage of being close to Kolkata and Bhubaneswar, this TBI can work wonders in terms of economic boost. Since Bhubaneswar has already become an Information Technology City, now Balasore can also become a business hub and technology hub,” he said
The Union Minister and the Vice-Chancellor dedicated Krishna Residential Complex in the name of river Krishna inside the campus on the occasion.
