Here’s How Govt School Teacher In Madhya Pradesh Holds Classes In Lockdown

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): A government school teacher, Chandra Shrivastava — from Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district —has set up a mini-school and library on his scooter to impart teaching during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Shrivastava takes around his scooter to the villages of Sagar district to teach students whose schools have remained closed for a long time. He is often seen teaching kids in his outdoor class using a small mic under the shade of a tree.

Children could be seen singing aloud in unison the verses and also explaining what they understood using the mic in a poetry session that he took outdoor.

“Most students here belong to poor families and don’t have access to online education as they can’t afford smartphones,” Shrivastava was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

“We do not get network connectivity in many places. I used to download videos and show them on mobile and then I started teaching on the scooty on which there is a green board on one side and books on the other,” Shrivastava added.
