Jamia Millia Islamia Achieves A++ Grade After NAAC Review

New Delhi: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC) has accredited Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) with A++ grade, according to a release issued by the university on Tuesday.

A++ is the highest grade awarded by the NAAC to an institution on the basis of various parameters, including research, infrastructure, learning resources, evaluation, innovation and governance. The NCCA follows a stringent assessment method to award grades to various institutions.

The varsity got the grade following a NAAC peer team’s review that took place from December 6 to 8.

JMI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar was elated over the development. “This milestone for the university reflects the sheer hard work and untiring effort by all members of the university including the teachers, non-teaching staff, students and alumni. I personally extend my deep gratitude to all of them and hope that we will not only maintain this grading in the future but will also keep on working hard to improve our performance in academic, research and other areas,” the vice-chancellor was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
