New Delhi: The fourth semester MPhil and MTech students from the science school and special centre, as well as final semester MBA students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) were allowed entry on Monday.
Both day-scholars and hostel residents were allowed to return to the varsity campus in its seventh phase of reopening.
JNU issued a notification stating that those who require access to the laboratory and have to submit their dissertation or thesis before June 30 are allowed entry into the campus, reported news agency PTI.
The notification also announced the immediate reopening of authorised shops, including those providing tea, snacks and refreshments, of hostels, residential areas of shopping complex and Tapti, Paschimabad, and Poorvanchal complex. However, dhabas and canteens on the campus have not been given the green signal to reopen.
Yoga activities are also allowed with immediate effect in the sports complex and will be conducted according to SOP, the varsity announced.
The entry of NCC Girls Cadets will also be permitted as their physical presence is necessary for their NCC ‘B’ Certificate. The facility of e-autorickshaw will begin inside the campus, according to the notification.
