New Delhi: As many as 614 scholars will be handed over the degrees after the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) completed the viva-voce examination for PhD scholars recently. The viva-voce for PhD scholars was held from March 1 to March 31.
The varsity conducted the submission of thesis and viva-voce online to make it convenient and less time-consuming for both students and teachers.
Among the record 614 scholars, 328 are female candidates while 286 are male. The scholars included candidates from 25 states of India besides 11 from foreign countries like Bangladesh, China, Nepal, South Korea, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Turkey.
