New Delhi: #JusticeForNEETAspirants emerged as the no.1 trend on Twitter on Tuesday as thousands of students and social media users rallied to urge the postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
The top trend popped up a day after the Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea seeking to reschedule the NEET medical entrance examination.
Founder of the NCR Parents’ Association, Sukhpal Singh Toor submitted a representation before the Ministry of Education, elaborating various concerns including the date of the exam clashing with other exams that are scheduled around the medical entrance, reported PTI.
Meanwhile, politicians also raised their voice in favour of the NEET aspirants. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “GOI is blind to students’ distress, Postpone #NEET exam. Let them have a fair chance.”
