NBE Declares NEET PG 2020 Results; Counselling Dates To Be Released Soon

The National Board of Examination (NBE) has declared the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2020 on January 30. The candidates can check the result at: www.nbe.edu.in . The counselling schedule is expected to release soon.

After the declaration of result, the qualified candidates need to appear for All India Quota Counselling.

All those who have scored 50 percentile and above are qualified for participating in the counselling session. The admissions would be done on the basis of the rank scored by the candidate. Also, 50 per cent of all postgraduate medical seats are reserved under All India Quota.

The merit position for all India 50 per cent quota seats will be declared separately. NEET PG is held for the admission to postgraduate medical seats – MD and MS in medical colleges in India. NBE conducted the medical entrance exam on January 5, across India, on the computer-based test mode. Last year, the result was declared on January 31.

A total of 82955 men, 77920 women and 13 transgender candidates have appeared for the medical entrance examination.

Among states, most applications (18,854) were received from Tamil Nadu, of which a total of 11,681 students qualified. Similarly, the second most applications (17208) were received from Maharashtra of which 8832 students cracked NEET. From Uttar Pradesh, the third highest number of applications were received by the NBE, however, only 4,957 candidates qualified.

The exam conducting body has made it clear that there is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totalling of the result/marks and no query in this regard will be entertained.

The counselling for admission to Diploma and MD and MS seats in all medical colleges in a state or Union Territory shall be conducted by them. Medical institutions that are not covered by centralised admissions are

  • PGIMER, Chandigarh
  • JIPMER, Puducherry
  • NIMHANS, Bengaluru
  • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum.

NBE To release individual Scorecard on February 3.

How to download individual scorecard

The candidates will have to enter login details received at the time of registration such as used ID and password.

The individual scorecard will contain details like name of the candidate, parent’s name, category, total score, total correct answers, total incorrect answers and NEET PG rank
