Odisha Edupreneur Achyuta Samanta Gets 67th Honorary Doctorate

The founder of KIIT and KISS receives an Honorary Doctorate (D.Litt.) from Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

BHUBANESWAR: Edupreneur, and founder of KIIT and KISS Achyuta Samanta has received a Honorary Doctorate (D.Litt.) from Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. This is his 67th Honorary Doctorate.

“Humbled to receive my 67th Honorary Doctorate (D.Litt.) from Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh — a respected institution known for promoting inclusive education in the North-East, for my lifelong efforts in education, tribal empowerment, social service. My heartfelt thanks to the university for this recognition. This honour is not mine alone — it belongs to my Odisha, and to every student, teacher, and well-wisher who has walked with me on this journey of service and sacrifice,” he posted on social media platform X.

A few days ago, Samanta received his 66th Doctor of Literature (honoris causa) degree from Apex University in Jaipur’s Achrol.

This honour was conferred on him by Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kishanrao Bagde on May 26. This is the 66th honorary doctorate for Samanta, a KIIT release said.

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara was also conferred honorary doctorate on this occasion.

Among others, Chairperson and Chancellor of Apex University Dr Ravi Juniwal and Vice-Chancellor Prof Somdev Shatanshu, and other dignitaries were present.
