NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has declared the results of Class 10 and 12 board exams.

At a press conference in Prayagraj, the officials announced that the pass percentage for Class 10 is 90.11, while the same for Class 12 is 81.15%.

More than 50 lakh students appeared for the board exams conducted from February 24 to March 12. Students can check their results on official website of UP board, upmsp.edu.

Yash Pratap Singh from Jalaun has emerged the topper in the 10th board exam by scoring 97.83% followed by Anshi from Etawah (97.67%) and BarabankiтАЩs Abhishek Kumar Yadav (97.67%).

Mahak Jaiswal from Prayagraj scored 97.20% and emerged as Class 12 exam topper.

Girls outperformed boys again in board exam results with 93.87% girls clearing the Class 10 exam as against 86.66% boys. A similar pattern was seen in Class 12 results, with 86.37% girls clearing the exam as against 76.60% boys.

Last year, the pass percentage of boys in high school was 86.05, while the same for girls was 93.40%. In Class 12, the pass percentage of boys was 77.78 and for girls it was 88.42%.

For the first time, the UP Board is providing online duplicate marksheets to the candidates as soon as the result is declared.

The duplicate marksheet will contain the name of the candidate, fatherтАЩs name, roll number and subject-wise marks.

The board said that the original marksheet would be provided by the Principal of the respective schools within 15 days of the declaration of the results.
